About Al Nicholson:

I started working at Mar-Pac Industries in Vancouver back in 1980 as a machinist apprentice, working in the shop until completing my apprenticeship, later moving into the offices there as a salesman, purchaser and foreman. Due to unforeseen circumstances Mar-Pac Industries closed down. Moving on from Mar-Pac Industries I was hired to setup and run a local fab/bolt business.

There I performed all material takeoffs and estimating, sales (inside as well as on the road), purchasing, detailing as well as becoming the welding supervisor and welding foreman, leaving that company with a strong supplier and customer base. This is where I became truly interested in the fabricating side of the business. Since leaving said company I have worked at setting up and running a steel reinforcing shop. Not knowing this business well, I further learnt rebar bending, shearing, material takeoffs, as well as detailing and running projects. With a strong want to get back to fabricating, my family and myself are introducing:
